| dcterms.abstract | Scientific Veterinary Institute "Novi Sad" (NIV-NS) is the National Reference
Laboratory for the diagnostics of Aujeszky's disease, IBR / IPV (Infectious bovine
rhinotracheitis / Infectious pustular vulvovaginitis), bovine viral diarrhea, equine viral
arteritis, maedi-visna and caprine arthritis-encephalitis, leptospirosis and Q fever, and
since recently the National Reference Laboratory for Antimicrobial Resistance. The
status of a reference laboratory for the aforementioned laboratory diagnostic methods
NIV-NS received on the basis of the Request number: 7817-410 from 07.08.2017,
submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management -
Veterinary Directorate.
Besides the rationale and Certificate of accreditation of laboratory diagnostic methods
according to the Standard 17025, the Request included following: data on the
personnel structure of the staff performing laboratory diagnostics of the
aforementioned diseases, the equipment inventory with description its purpose,
identification (inventory number, manufacturer, serial number and year of
procurement), and data on the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
and laboratory facility. A specific segment of the submitted Request consisted of a
bibliographic data of scientific researchers who participate in laboratory diagnostics.
By appointing Scientific Veterinary Institute "Novi Sad" as the reference laboratory
for the aforementioned laboratory diagnostic methods, all the necessary activities
towards EU and OIE reference laboratories and laboratories in the Republic of Serbia
performing these laboratory tests were undertaken. | En |
