| dcterms.abstract | One of the priority areas of the population health protection and promotion is the area
related to communicable disease control and prevention due to constant threat of existing
and emerging diseases. Parliament of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (APV)
adopted the Integrated surveillance and control of of transmissive antropozooneses in
APV for implementation and funding as a 4th task of the Special Public Health Programme
during the adoption of the Budget of APV for 2019. Decision is published in Official
Gazzete of the APV number 60/18.
Improvement of epidemiological surveillance, through standardization of criteria and
quality of reporting of certain communicable diseases, enlargement of diagnostic
spectrum and implementation of other, active types of surveillance (recommended by
WHO, FAO and OIE) represent precondition for control of transmissive antropozooneses
in APV. Integrated approach of epidemiological and epizootological surveillance
combined with active surveillance on vector populations is possible through cooperation
of public health, health care, veterinary institutions and referent scientific and educational
institution for the area of monitoring of vector activity in our environment.
Integrated approach will be achieved through: provision of clinical data in the area of
human and animal health; surveillance and laboratory confirmation of etiological agents
present in human, animal and vector populations; exchange of information by modern
electronic platform for fast and comprehensive data exchange between stakeholders in the
area of human and veterinary medicine and entomology.
This approach will enable timely recommendations, planning and execution of appropriate
measures of control of certain transmissive antropozooneses in order to secure health of
the population of APV, and its economic potential in the area of agriculture and animal
husbandry. Measures will be proposed to the sectors of health, agriculture, environmental
protection and science and technology in order to secure rational mid- and long-term
planning and expenditure in the budget of APV. | En |
