dc.description.abstract | According to the law on protection and sustainable use of fisheries fund (Official gazette RS number 128/14) it is foreseen to monitor the health status of the fish fund. Researchers from Scientific veterinary institute „Novi Sad“ in cooperation with public water management company „Vode Vojvodine“ and collaborators from the Department of veterinary medicine, Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, conducted monitoring of the health status of the fishery fund on the open water it manages public water management company „Vode Vojvodine“. For the purposes of the monitoring program, samples were collected from July to the beginning of September 2019, with a total of 15 localities, which are included in the Danube river fishing waters from 1297 km to 1233 km, basic channel network channels DTD, water accumulation „Čonoplja“, WA „Tavankut“, WA „Panonija“. A total of 111 samples of several fish species were collected (fam. Cyprinidae, fam. Siluridae, fam. Esocidae, fam. Percidae and fam. Ictaluridae). From the collected fish samples, the cause of fish diseases of viral, bacterial and parasitic etiology were investigated. The causative agents of bacterial etiology (Aeromonas hydrophila) were found in 87 samples, which is 96.5% of the total fish sampled, parasitic etiologies (Eustrongylides spp.) proved in 6 samples, which is 6.6% of the total fish sampled and (Ergasilus sieboldi) in 2 samples, representing 2.2% of the total fish sampled, while the causative agents of viral etiology (spring viremia of carp virus and koi herpesvirus) were not found in any of the 111 samples tested. | en_US |
